The 10th Philanthropitch Austin raises over $142,000 for nonprofit finalists!

Yesterday evening, we celebrated ten years of impact at Philanthropitch Austin 2022. On the iconic stage at ACL Live, seven nonprofits pitched their big ideas and innovative program models to a panel of judges and one of our largest crowds yet.

Over 500 Austinites brought the house down in celebration for seven finalists: Sunrise Homeless Navigation Center, Girls Rock Austin, Black Professional Alliance, IssueVoter, The Junior League of Austin, 3 Day Startup and Todos Juntos Learning Center.

With just three minutes per pitch, each finalist expertly showcased the way their team produces crucial, sustainable and scalable community services for our community and beyond.

The incredible caliber of presentations last night led the finalists to raise $142,468 in funding to continue their unique programs!

Here’s how the funding broke out per finalist:

The 10 year celebration didn’t stop there - we brought a group of legendary Austin rock artists to the stage to celebrate both these finalists and the 140+ others who’ve been supported and funded over a decade of Philanthropitch.

A very special shout out to Zach Person, Emily Wolfe, and Dave Scher for an unforgettable musical performance that rocked us into our next decade!

Finally, thank you to the Austin community and nonprofit staff who rally around each of these orgs and make sure their work is amplified! We look forward to celebrating these incredible leaders and teams for years to come.

Here’s to ten more!
