Philanthropitch San Antonio 2022 raises over $144,000 for nonprofit finalists!

Yesterday evening, five nonprofits brought their big ideas to the stage at Philanthropitch San Antonio, presented by The Bank of San Antonio.

We gathered under the bright lights of the Tobin Center to celebrate the work of five nonprofit finalists; CHEF, Aid the Silent, Woodlawn Theatre, Earn-A-Bike and CHR Partners.

Thanks to the generosity of corporate supporters, judges, audience members and YOU, Philanthropitch San Antonio raised $144,100!

Each nonprofit shared stories about the many San Antonio residents their programs reach, from those who are deaf and hard-of-hearing, to local public school students, to large families struggling with housing affordability. The judges and audience alike were impressed and inspired by the many innovative ways these organizations drive capital toward positive community impact.

We’re thrilled that prominent San Antonio leaders and entrepreneurs got involved hosting and judging this event. Having emcee Asia Ciaravino and judges Patricia Mejia, Dirk Elmendorf, Adam Blanchard, Claire Cavender McNab, Katy David, Julie Bedingfield and Perri Rosheger on stage with us made this edition of Philanthropitch San Antonio all-the-more impactful.

In a special moment for the audience, we premiered a video of Finalist Culturingua and judge Katy David, detailing the ways Philanthropitch jumpstarted their relationship and helped provide a fruitful foundation for the Culturingua’s Nourish to Flourish program, built to serve immigrant and refugee entrepreneurs in Bexar County. Without your help, we would not have been able to make Philanthropitch San Antonio 2022 one of the most successful events to-date. We’re excited to be on this upward trajectory each and every competition day.

Thank you, San Antonio residents, neighbors and friends for investing in local nonprofits with big ideas.
Thank you to our sponsors and finalist funders who support this model and want to take a step beyond traditional donation into active engagement. Finally, thank you to the San Antonio community and nonprofit staff who rally around each of these orgs every day and make sure their work is amplified!

We’ll be back in 2023 to rally more community investment in San Antonio at Philanthropitch!
